6-Hour Fishing Charter — Port Moresby Waters
Head out from the Royal Papua Yacht Club (RPYC) for a half-day of serious fishing in the waters around Port Moresby, aboard one of our 7m fiberglass tenders powered by a 90hp Yamaha 4-stroke outboard. This trip is built for anglers who want to fish — not just cruise around.
What's included:
- 6 am – 1 pm, departing/returning from RPYC
- Experienced local skipper and deckhand who know the reefs, drop-offs, and current fishing grounds around the harbour and nearby islands
- Quality tackle set up and ready to go — rods, reels, lures, and bait suited to the species running that day
- Ice, esky, and drinking water on board
- Fish cleaning and bagging at the end of the trip
Target species:
Depending on season and conditions, expect a shot at mackerel, trevally, tuna, barracuda, and reef species close to Port Moresby, with the option to push wider for bigger game on request.
Groups:
Max 4 anglers per trip — small enough that everyone gets proper rod time and personal attention from the crew, not a crowded boat where you're waiting your turn.
